SIDHARTH HARIKUMAR
Sidharth Harikumar is a South Indian director and cinematographer, and a 2025 Student Academy Awards finalist. Leaving an initial career path in Biotechnology, he pursued his passion for cinema, earning Master's degrees in Directing (London, 2016) and Cinematography (Berlin, 2024).
His work is rooted in personal and emotional themes, often exploring trauma, identity, and the weight of silence. His short film Saffron Ash (2017) won several international awards and screened at over 25 film festivals worldwide. Alongside his work as a director, he has shot short films, a music video, and commercials across Berlin and London.
Shaped by his time working internationally, Sidharth finds himself drawn back to the stories closest to home — rooted in Kerala's culture, landscape, and the lives of the people he grew up around. His cinema is driven by a belief that the most powerful stories are often the quietest ones, told through image, restraint, and an unflinching honesty about the human condition
